Proper maintenance is crucial for the safety and longevity of your RV tires. This includes regular tire pressure checks, regular rotations, and proper storage when the RV is not in use. When it's time to replace your RV tires, make sure to choose high-quality tires that are designed specifically for RVs. Don't skimp on quality, as your tires are an important part of your RV's safety.

Underinflated tires can cause poor fuel economy, tire wear, and potential tire failure. Overinflated tires can also wear unevenly and reduce traction. Check tire pressure with a tire gauge when the tires are cold (before driving) and adjust as necessary.
Rotating your RV's tires regularly helps ensure even wear and can extend the life of your tires.
Regular tire maintenance will not only keep you and your passengers safe on the road, but it will also help to extend the lifespan of your tires and save you money in the long run.
Ensure proper inflation of each tire including any spares as per recommended value by using an accurate pressure gauge. Note that changes in temperature does affect tire pressure. Check for uneven wear in the tire’s tread. Cracks and splits in the sidewall indicates an early sign of aging. Weight distribution should be as even as possible distributing equal permissible load in each tires. If not, this can contribute to uneven tire wear. Always lift and cover the tires while in storage. It relieves the pressure and prevents water or oil from degrading the tire’s exterior. Tires should be rotated to encourage even wear. This also helps to closely inspect each tire for damage. As a general rule, tires over six years old should be replaced even if they appear in good condition as the stress of carrying a loaded RV is much greater and driving on sketchy tires is not worth the risk.
When storing your RV for an extended period, park it in a shaded area to protect the tires from direct sunlight. Avoid parking on concrete or asphalt, as these surfaces can cause tires to become hot and deteriorate more quickly.
Make sure your RV's tires are properly balanced and aligned to avoid uneven wear and reduce the risk of a blowout.
