I have a query regarding insuring my RV with trailer. I understand that an RV with an engine has the same insurance requirement as that of an automobile. Do I need to have some form of RV towing insurance as I have personal possessions and other valuables in the trailer. Do Towed RVs have a different insurance compared to drivable RVs? Someone enlighten me please!

Even though RV insurance is an additional cost, the costs related to an accident or damage are often substantially higher. Your vehicle and possessions are safeguarded and covered by RV insurance in the event of an accident, theft, or damage. It is very advisable to get coverage even if your state does not mandate RV insurance as you could be held responsible for paying a sizable amount in damages, medical expenses, and legal fees if you're found to be at fault in an accident. Many RV parks and campgrounds demand evidence of insurance before letting you park or remain on their premises.
